Final Girls Berlin Festival is Back in 2023

The Final Girls Berlin Festival will be making its return with its 8th Edition this year. The full lineup include 8 feature length films, ten short blocks, and a series of horror-related events led by international genre specialists. The rpogramming highlights themes of aging, youth, gender, intimacy, and queerness.

The festival will run from February 1-5 at City Kino Wedding, and will also include a virtual component. Feature films include Hatching, Sissy, Raquel 1:1, Polaris, and Huesera. The short film segments focus on body horror, meanacing presences, bodily autonomy, and creatures. Throughout the festival, events will be running that include tarot workshops, a talk by Dr. Valeria Villegas Lindvall on dissident sexuality in Mexican post-millenial horror, a talk presented by Dr. Katrin Seyler & Antonia Grousdanidou about Hagspoitation in American Horror Story, and a workshop on protecting yourself in the case of a zombie horde.
