How do I pitch my writing?
Send your pitch to contact@hearusscream.com with "PITCH" at the start of the subject line.

We accept reviews (movies, television, books, and video games), editorials, and interviews.

Do I get paid if I am published?
All pieces that are published on Hear Us Scream are paid. Writers will receive $15 USD for their published piece, this will increase over time as we are only a new website.


What happens after I have pitched my piece?

An editor will advise if your pitch has been accepted for the website and will provide you with any questions or feedback. Once accepted, the editor will create a card on Trello and add you to the card so you can track the progress of your piece.

If your piece is not accepted, an editor will advise you of any feedback for why it has not been. You will always receive a response either way.

What is the word limit?

For reviews it would be preferred that you reach (at a minimum) 600-800. Please feel free to go beyond that, but there is an expectation to reach the minimum.

Will I get any opportunities?

Absolutely! We often post review and interview opportunities in the Discord and Trello to notify The Scream Team writers. We have started working with some PR companies and they have been giving us awesome opportunities.
